Alright, so here’s the deal:
I’ve been working on a horror/supernatural/thriller story called The Axeman’s Encore, (just in case you haven’t seen all the other posts I’ve made about it) and let me tell you, it’s been living rent-free in my brain for weeks now. Jazz clubs, demon lore, murder, doom metal, and one very stressed-out bassist who may or may not be New Orleans’ only hope. You know, the usual.
It’s inspired by the real-life Axeman of New Orleans case from 1918–1919, yes, that actually happened, and I’ve been asking myself the one question that every horror writer eventually gets to:
What if the Axeman really was a demon?
Boom. Story unlocked.
And since I don’t want this project to fall into the “write three chapters then abandon it forever” graveyard like some other ideas I’ve buried quietly in the backyard, I’ve decided to post a new chapter every week right here on the blog.
That’s right! Weekly installments. Like the old-school pulp serials, but with more blood and fewer mustaches.
I’m not saying I’ll hit the deadline every single week, life happens, coffee runs out, guitars need restringing, but I’m going to give it everything I’ve got. So if you’re into creeping dread, possessed axe murderers, and goth metal bands accidentally getting caught up in demonic rituals… you’re in the right place.
Here’s Chapter One of The Axeman’s Encore.
Insert dramatic jazz sting.

Let me know what you think in the comments, or just scream into the void—I’m probably doing the same thing while trying to figure out what happens next.
