Alright, metalheads—it’s a new week, and I’ve got a full lineup of sonic chaos, twisted riffs, and possibly a few surprises. But before we dive into the upcoming breakdowns, I’ve got a quick announcement:

I’m shaking up Mondays.

As you may have noticed, I haven’t posted a review today. After a few tries, I’ve realized that the whole “melodic/progressive/ambient” metal thing just doesn’t hit right for me. I gave it a fair shot—multiple times—but if a song takes four minutes to get started, I’ve already mentally left the room.

I want riffs that punch, drums that move, and vocals that make me clench my jaw or throw my fist up. I want a vibe that kicks in fast and stays heavy. So, with that in mind…

RIP, Melodic Monday.

You were soft. You were sleepy. You were not for me.

That said, Monday’s not going anywhere (even though we all wish it would go away)—I’m just brainstorming a new theme that better matches my taste (and maybe yours too). Got a suggestion for what Monday should become? Drop it in the comments or hit me up here.

🔮 This Week on The Original Rage:

  • Tuesday – Tear-It-Up Tuesday
Possibly Gojira, or something else that roars out the gate.
  • Wednesday – Witchy Wednesday
Unto Others still on deck with their shadowy gothic vibes.
  • Thursday – Throwback Thursday
Maybe a visit to MØL or something from the vault.
  • Friday – Frenzied Friday
    It’ll be chaotic. Guaranteed.
  • Saturday – ?
Don’t have a name set in stone for Saturdays yet, but I’ll think of something.
  • Sunday – Swashbuckling Sunday
Still recovering from the rum-soaked madness of Alestorm’s debut, but I loved every second of it. More pirate madness incoming.

Got a band that deserves a spot on this week’s radar? Want to suggest a theme that’s fast, weird, or brutal for the Monday slot? Let me know. The Rage train’s still rolling—and now it’s got even fewer ambient intros slowing it down.
